HVP will commencing their regular weed control program on Wednesday 16 September in Bright, Hurdle Creek, Ovens, Porepunkah,  Merriang, Morgans Creek, Rose River and Wandiligong.  The program will include both ground based hand and machine application as well as aerial application and is expected to take approximately two weeks.  This program will see the use of a granular herbicide Velmac G and Velmac CR which contain hexazinone act the active ingredient.

HVP will ensure that the operation is conducted safely by accurately delivering the herbicide to the target zone and leaving safe buffer zones between operational areas, residential & private properties and areas of environmental sensitivity including water ways.

As with all forest operations the delivery of this program will be weather dependent, the operation needs to occur when the conditions are dry and winds are low but to ensure you are safe HVP will ensure that the areas affected are sign posted and closed.  Please follow the direction of the operators and signs at all times and remember it is never safe to cross into a work area.

If you would like further information on this operation please contact HVP Plantation on 03 5731 2000.
