JOB TITLE: Park Attendant

JOB TYPE: Casual ongoing and casual summer staff

LOCATION: Mystic Park, Bright

REPORTING TO: Executive Officer, Alpine Community Plantation



  • Manage vehicle entry into Mystic Park, either at the main gate or in a roving position
  • Provide on-the-ground customer service to park users by answering questions, such as trail recommendations or status
  • Ensure park users adhere to rules and conditions
  • Conduct incident reports
  • Inspect trails and report trail hazards or changed conditions
  • Open and close trails, or place trail status warnings when required
  • Conduct basic trail maintenance or tree removal, when required
  • Secure park gates
  • Work with forestry staff to ensure safe controls for all park users during forestry operations



  • Drivers Licence
  • First Aid, Chainsaw Level 1 and trail building experience highly regarded


  • Mountain biking and trail maintenance experience highly regarded


  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and recognise risks
  • Confidence in managing park user behaviour
  • Ability to work alone or as a team


  • Own vehicle suitable for dirt road use (not necessary but recommended)
  • Weekend and public holiday work required
